Group Meeting

We offer a variety of programs and assistance in Social Work, Legal and Financial areas. Please view our PDF flyer for more details or see the descriptions of our offerings below.

Social Work

Our social worker, Scott Theisen, is here to help you, your family, your friends and our community. If you need someone to help or just to listen, contact Scott on his voice mail (206) 268-6761.

Legal Consultations

1st Monday, 10AM-Noon
Clif Johnson is here each month to help you with legal issues. Initial meeting is free and low fee thereafter. Wills, Power of Attorney, Living Wills, landlord tenant, Loans and other issues welcome.

Financial Assistance

Second Tuesday of each month, 12:00 Noon-3:00 PM (by appointment only).
If you are in need of financial assistance please take advantage of Kyle, our volunteer financial advisor.

Senior Rights Assistance

3rd Wednesday’s, 9:00 AM –12:00 PM
Jerry Keating appointments are 45 minutes long, he can help with substitute decision making (power of attorney), healthcare issues, and estate information such as wills and power of attorney issues.

AARP Tax Assistance

By appointment, only during the tax season
Imagine having someone prepare your tax return for you for FREE! At the Ballard Senior Center the AARP Tax Aide volunteers are here to help you get your tax returns filled out and electronically mailed in. Bring your last year’s tax return and your current tax information.  During the next tax season please call to make an appointment.
