3rd Tuesday of the Month, 1:00pm
Test your word knowledge solving word puzzles and playing Scrabble. No need to grab your dictionary, just show up and this great group will help you find the words. This is a FREE group.
NEW! Hearts Group
Wednesdays, 6pm
Enjoy playing the card game Hearts with a great group of people. This is an "evasion-type" trick-taking playing card game that can have 3–6 players. The player with the fewest points at the completion of the game wins. Minimum requirement of 3 people. This is a FREE group.
Bridge Group
Mondays, 12:30pm-3:30pm
Grab a friend and join in! Bridge is a trick-taking card game played by four players in two competing partnerships. Each group of four individuals sit around a square card table, with the partners facing each other.
Cribbage Group
Tuesdays, 9:30am-11:30am
Cribbage is a card game played with two to four or more players. This game involves playing and grouping cards in combinations to gain points. Cribbage also includes a cribbage board for scorekeeping.
Pinochle Group
Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 9am-11:45am
This game is a "trick-and-meld" card game, players score points by trick-taking and also by forming combinations of cards. With many different types of Pinochle, you will never get tired of this group.
NEW! Games Group
Fridays, 1:00pm
Compete against others in cards games and more with this wonderful group. Meeting regularly in the Dining Hall after lunch, this group learns and plays wonderful card games for the pleasure of announcing “I win!” This is a FREE group.

Book Club
1st Thursday of the Month, 12:30pm
This fun and dedicated group of bookworms meets every month. Members of this group will select, read and discuss books from the Seattle Public Library. Want to join? call Scott Theisen (206) 268-6761 for the latest book. This is a FREE group.
Current Events Group
2nd & 4th Tuesdays 10:30am
The group decides the topic and how the discussion will run. All inquiring and open minds are welcome. This is a FREE group.
Is Clutter Getting To You?
2nd and 4th Thursdays of the Month, 12:30pm-1:30pm
This new group focuses on the impact of clutter and organizing. Is Clutter ---Your’s or Someone else’s---Getting to YOU? Then join this group to discuss the issue. Share what helps you to conquer the clutter. Learn tips on how to take control of the clutter. Develop a plan for reducing clutter and freeing up your space for yourself and your family. This is a FREE group.

Discuss the Bible and its impact on your life. This group is open to all who are interested in reading the Bible and wish to talk about it. This is a FREE group.
Low Vision Support Group
2nd Monday of the Month, 10:30am
This is your opportunity to get involved in this new Low Vision Support Group. This group is open to anyone dealing with vision issues. Come check it out.
Sunshine Committee
Bring some sunshine into the lives of people who are ill. This group sends cards to ill Members of the Center. Contact the Center at 206-297-0403 to join this new and wonderful group. If you know of a Member of the Center who could use some words of cheer please contact the Center to add them to our list of card recipients. This is a FREE group.
Life: “A Maze Or Amazing?” Group
1st & 3nd Monday - Scott’s Office 12:45—2:15
Do life’s twists and turns have you in knots? This could be the group for you. This new group is to help with all those difficulties in life that come your way. All are welcome, so come and be a part of this group. This is a FREE group.
Caregivers Group
Every 2nd and 4th Mondays, 12:30pm—2:00pm
Are you caring for someone with dementia, Alzheimer’s or other memory impairment issues? Come talk about your experience with others in the same situation.
Art Groups
Gardening Group
Thursdays, 9am-10am
Sunshine and Plants, the Gardening Group meets in the Center’s Garden to plant flowers, herbs, vegetables, and fruit. Donations of plants, bulbs, and seeds are welcome. Materials and tools are provided, including aprons. During the winter months we will be painting flower pots, planning what to plant, and making bird houses. This is a FREE group.
Green Tea Club
Wednesday, January 25th, 12:30pm - 1:30pm (Meets Quarterly)
We are excited to have the ladies back who lead the Green Tea Club. They will be coming once each quarter. This is a great opportunity to enjoy another culture and crafts by making origami or a craft and enjoying warm green tea. This is a FREE group. Warm tea in December sounds great! The Green Tea Ladies missed the regulars who come to this class for September. This is a FREE group.
Knitting & Crochet Group
Wednesdays 10am
Bring a project, questions or ideas. Knitting and crochet is a wonderful way to engage creatively in an art project that can be taken with you anywhere. The results can also become well loved fabrics and clothes for you or family and friends. This is a FREE group.
Quilters Group
Mondays 10am -12pm
We know you are out there. Come join this fun group, get advice, have fun working together, and do some good in the community. This is a self run group, so the group will decide what projects they will do, if any, and how the group will run. This is a FREE group.
Hollywood in Ballard Movies
Thursdays, 1pm
Come enjoy classic movies and meet some new friends. We are open to suggestions for future months—we are sticking with the “classics”. This is a FREE regular event.

Sound Steps Walking Group
Saturdays, 9am
Ballard is beautiful all year. Enjoy exercising with a great group. This group meets at the Ballard NW Senior Center every Saturday. This is a FREE group, with no pre-registration required.
