Our sensational and highly anticipated $pring for $eniors Auction & Dinner is going to be here before we know it! The auction date is Sunday, March 26th at 5:00pm and is located at Leif Erikson Lodge.  Put it on your calendars and make your plans now to attend, donate, or help.  Everyone can do something to make this the huge success we need it to be.  With the $40,000 decrease in support in 2017, this is our biggest fundraiser and with your help it will be successful and we will meet our goals.

Al Hovland is Auction Chair.  We have a great Auction Committee, but there is room for more to join this active group.  Contact Carlye or Al if you can be on the Auction Committee or want to know more about it.  There is an idea/wish list for donated items at the 2nd Floor Reception area.  We are always looking for vacation homes, experiences, gift cards, and cash pledges for our Match Fund A Need portion.

The event is fun with games to play, a Martini Bar and a Wine Bar, wonderful items to bid on, delicious dinners. This is a great night to celebrate our Center.  Be a part of this important event!  Join in the fun and support your Center.  Tickets are available Online, By Phone, or In-Person.

Read more about our Auction on our Auction Page and check out the fantastic Sponsors who made this night possible for $pring for $eniors in 2016!  And look through our fantastic Auction Catalog.

How Bingo Saved This Seattle Man's Life When Bernie Sadowski first came to the Ballard Senior Center in 2009, he didn’t care about life. His wife of 50 years had died. “It was like, OK, I’ll go to sleep when I feel sleepy no matter where I was,” he said. He didn’t care if he woke up, and he didn’t know what to do with himself. Sadowski’s doctor told him he was going through depression and suggested that he get out and socialize. Sadowski’s daughter took him to the senior center. “Frankly, this saved my life,” Sadowski said.

The center membership dues are due in January 2017.  The dues benefit members and provide financial help to the center.  Membership is a good deal for anyone who wants to receive reduced fees on foot care, trips, many classes, as well as receive invitations to the members only luncheon and other special member only events for 2017. The dues for 2017 are $50 per person.  We offer 3 options for payment to make it easier to support us.

New members can get a jump on the year, starting on November 1st, 2016 through all of November and December 2016, and through the year 2017.  Current Members can also renew in November and December 2016. This is also a great holiday gift for friends, family, and for yourself.

Payment Plans:

1) Make one payment of $50.00

2) Make two payments of $25.00, Second Payment due June 30th.
3) Make four payments of $12.50, Second Payment Due April 3rd, Third Due June 30th, Fourth Due Sept. 30th.
4) Member Sponsorship

Paying someone’s membership makes a wonderful gift that keeps on giving throughout the year. We also accept donations to help pay dues for those who cannot afford them. You do not have to be a member to participate at the Center.
